Backgrounds: Forest Starfield Spin

This one was actually created at the FaithQuest event this weekend. Imagine you’re out for a walk - watching the moon rise. You stay until the wee hours of the morning, thinking about your life and your place in the universe. How did the universe get here? How did I get here? What’s that growling in the woods over there?

The trees were shot as a 30-second exposure with my friend Johnathan’s crazy wide angle (what was it - 10mm?). The one I actually used at the event was with a starfield & moonlight shot I took right then; however, it suffered from numerous problems namely image noise and some sensor artifacts. So, I rebuilt it (again with Motion, but it could have been done in After Effects, too) with a different starfield and the moon corona from the original photo. The moon is now separate from the starfield; it follows a different track. Probably not an astronomically correct one, but the effect works nonetheless.
